Newport RFC was founded in 1874 and is one of the most celebrated clubs in the history of Welsh rugby. Famous for their black and amber jerseys, Newport compete in the Welsh Premiership and have a proud tradition of producing great players and memorable victories, including a famous win over New Zealand in 1963.
